Enhanced Communication Experience: Astatic 302-636LB1 Black Noise Cancelling 4 Pin CB Microphone (Bulk) Review

I bought this mic for the noise canceling feature. It is currently paired with my President McKinley radio. I also bought a Uniden 6 pin to 4 pin converter. Everyone says they hear me loud and clear, so much so that they ask me if I'm using an amplifier. Great microphone and worth the money.

I bought this to replace the ASTATIC MIC that has been in my radio for over 20 years. The pin on the back that hung the mic was loose so I figured I'd just buy a new one. It seems that a little play with this stylus solved the problem, and the new mic has been removed to use if the 20-year-old mic ever dies.

This mic is crystal clear and slightly quieter than most standard mics. While this slightly reduces the power of the wave, it will greatly improve the overall intelligibility of what you're saying - and that's important, after all. Buy one of these, crank up the mic gain a bit and don't look back. They are worth every penny they charge.

We bought 2 mics and in less than a year I had to replace the spring in them. And replaced with a simple spring from the handle. Why are these mics made with such a cheap spring? The rest of the microphone works perfectly. But if you use these mics a lot, grab a pen and steal the nib from the inside. Because that's what breaks in this mic in 6 months or less.

I shop at Revain daily but haven't been doing too well lately. When I pay and buy a new product, I expect a new product. When I open the mic for my CB, that's what someone sent back. It was boxless, it came with no mic holder, no hardware of any kind, no papers that always come with it, and it was supposed to be packed in Revain packaging. Revain used to be phenomenal when you order, but lately that's not the case. And I'm the main one.

We work for a trucking company and we use CB very heavily (I buy about 60-80 mics every year). The reason for only 3 stars is that the Que switch spring breaks on almost every mic after 4-6 months of use (again we use CBs all the time). On a positive note they offer a warranty on the mic and I had no problem getting new mics under warranty. If Astatic had given them a better quality spring they would have been a great mic with little or no issues. Expect your microphone to have a short lifespan

Good microphone, you can feel the quality. They cost 40.00 - 50.00 at the truck stop. Struggled with Cobra mics for almost 2 months. The truck came with a Cobra 29lx, a quality antenna and a pair of Cobra microphones. Neither one nor the other worked. Bought another cheap brand that was faulty, thought it was a radio as it flickered between transmit and receive. Decided to give it another try before asking to swap out the radios. "Really good" and "sounds better than ever" are the answers I get
