Good SWR meter, cheap price.

This is an inexpensive meter, but it doesn't have to be. If you just need an SWR meter, great. If you need a power meter, spend a little more. This gauge scored 4 antennas for me upon installation and did a few checks. It's very easy to work with and as far as I can tell it does everything right. My radios work and sound fine and I don't think they would if this meter didn't work well.

Pros
  • 3 Function Analogue Meter
Cons
  • Unbelievable Price

Does not work well with portable radios CB

For a long time I couldn't figure out why my SWR was so high. It turned out to be the meter. The center pin of one of the connectors came loose from the circuit board. This is not surprising since the amount of solder used was certainly sufficient to delaminate the trace. I've tried putting my radio in an open circuit unless I've pressed the connector properly. I'm still getting fuzzy readings. It looks like the switch is connected backwards. I will have to research further.

Pros
  • Shows the condition of the 50 ohm antenna and coaxial cable that powers CB
Cons
  • . Expensive

It's hard to tell if it's working as it should.

Nice size and easy to connect - cheap in both price and quality control. Attach labels to change settings. Other options: Swap the top and bottom wires in the switch. one is slightly more expensive and of better quality.

Pros
  • SWR or relative performance tests
Cons
  • Damaged

Incorrect labeling and instructions

If you follow instructions as written and send 100W you will destroy the device. Using SWR meters I've found the following: 1. The left switch is strictly a power level switch and the FWD and REF markers should be with the right switch. My meter has the right switch installed upside down. To use this meter properly, set the left switch to the appropriate power level and do not toggle it. Turn on the transmitter so that it outputs power. Flip the right switch and find out which position theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 10W and 100W switches
Cons
  • Not sure
