Great! good for headset

Comes from a guy who has had Astros first gen A50s (loved them) since they came out and decided to screw them up about a week ago (took me about 5 years), it is 20 times better and lighter than the previous generation. Easy setup and decent battery life. If you have money, just take it. Stop looking elsewhere.

Disappointed with the noise level

I love my Astro A-40s so I decided to upgrade to the new A-50s and go wireless. A-50s just aren't loud enough. I have an updated Command Center firmware and nothing Astro suggests helps to fix this issue. Footsteps are not audible in FPS. I contacted Astro and they said they are working on it?! They have released a new premium headset with a known issue. Disappointing at best. Strongly NOT recommended.

Suitable for PC only. PS4 is having problems

Looks good but that's where it ends. PS4 has many problems. sound is everywhere; The chat is very loud, and whether you're using Dolby or the default setting, it sounds like you're playing in a tin can. Even if you update the firmware or adjust the chat/game balance on the headphones, it's still unbearable. It worked with audio for 5 hours after the update and then went back to super loud chat/tin can audio. I had to go back and forth to my Astro A4o.

Another fantastic product from Astro

Longtime fan of Astro headsets and this is by far my favorite so far. I had problems with the previous version of the A50 headset like many others. . The headset just wouldn't sit on its stand most days without a little tweaking and patience. Eventually I gave up and started plugging it in for charging. That was my only complaint, however, as the sound and comfort were top notch. I took the new version as it made sense to have the extra one for my PC and leave the other one plugged into my…

It's worthy! on headsets

Like Cap in End Game (SPOILERS?), the updated A50 headset is worth the money. My pup recently decided to try my old A40 TR headset and forced me (corgis aren't as innocent as they seem!). So after reading many reviews of the updated A50 headset, I was hesitant to spend $300 and I can honestly say I'm glad I did. First, the transition to a wireless headset is very convenient. Example: I was playing Spiderverse on my second monitor last night while working on another, and I was able to go to the…

Incredibly unassuming

They're pretty comfortable and the charging station is great, but that's literally about all I can say about them. The sound didn't really convince me. The volume was incredibly low, the high frequencies had poor reverberation and echo, and the low frequencies were very muffled. No amount of firmware updates, driver updates, fiddling with equalizers, or fiddling with computer settings was able to fix the problem. Considering the price, I would expect they should only require minor tweaking…

The best headset Astro has ever made.

I bought these headphones on sale during Black Friday and I love them. Surprisingly, the A50 Gen 4 is even more comfortable than the Gen 3 thanks to the fact that the ear cushions feel softer, almost plush, and the headband is much better, a more rectangular shape, closer to that of the A40 TR. "Astro Audio V2" refers to updated drivers which, like the A40 TR Gen 4, have a more balanced overall sound while still having great bass and soundstage. This means that not only can you find enemies and

Came back, that's why.

I received this headset and was able to try it for a few days before returning it for a refund. I'll start with about a week's worth of research comparing the Turtle Beach, Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless, PlayStation Gold, and Platinum headsets. I've owned a Turtle Beach Elite 800 since about 2016. They are amazing thanks to the built in microphone. The problem I had for about my second year of owning them was that they would lose sound and turn back on after 5 seconds. Then they started…
