The power adapter itself is good, but the power cord is of poor quality. Internal wires were exposed at the end of the power adapter after 5 uses. Replaced power cord, PSU works fine.

I used this to replace the converter that came with the My Igloo Coolemate. I left it for an hour to see if the converter would heat up as others have complained. WOO BOY! It works out! The converter got hot. The connector from the cooler got so hot that it melted the housing! Now I have to replace the radiator plug wire which is almost as expensive as that stupid converter. If you buy this, you can meet your stuff! RETURNED!

Celestron (and other brands) Goto telescopes, cooled astrophotographic cameras and dew heaters typically use DC power. It's far easier to run a few of these converters to power a backyard implement than wondering if your field batteries have enough charge to power your gear all night. Leave field batteries plugged in so they're fully charged when you head out into the country.

This works fine. We use it to use an air compressor that plugs into a DC outlet in the car and it allows us to use the compressor outside of the car by simply connecting the compressor to this converter and then the converter to the wall cord. Connecting the DC plug to it is tricky and requires some manipulation and attention. Otherwise the converter does its job and we can inflate the garden pool.

I bought this for the Koolatron cooler it worked 24/7 as I received it with no problems. I'll update once I have a month, so see how things go around, but so far it's been fine. It's getting a little warmer, but that's to be expected. I replaced the power cord that someone mentioned had problems, I used the best that worked.
