Thunderbolt is sketchy; not compatible with some TB3/4 docking stations.

This board runs my Ryzen 9 processor like a stallion. Unfortunately, the main reason I got this MB - built-in Thunderbolt 4 - can be superficial at times. From time to time I plug the TB cable to/from my monitor to get it recognized properly. It doesn't matter if I use the 85W or 15W port on my monitor. Bios and drivers are also updated. However, it gets worse. My attempts to get this board to work with the Razer TB4 Dock Chroma were also unsuccessful. I could just plug all my peripheralsโ€ฆ

Overall a good board but there is one big problem

In general I am very happy with this board. It has a good feature set and seems stable so far. The only complaint I have is with the two PCIe x1 slots. They share the bandwidth with a second M.2 slot. If you have two M.2 SSDs, which most developers have, you cannot use either PCIe x1 slot without changing the second M.2 slot to PCIe x2 mode. This reduced the performance of my Samsung 970 EVO+ by 50%, which the test confirms. If you manually switch the 2nd M.2 port to x4 mode in BIOS, both PCIeโ€ฆ

Thunderbolt DOES NOT WORK

Reason for buying this motherboard is Thunderbolt. Other boards with the same features are cheaper or boards at the same price offer more features. This is positioned and sold for Thunderbolt. I bought it to share Thunderbolt resources between my laptop and desktop. Unfortunately I get NO video from the Thunderbolt port. Windows defines it as a non-plug and play monitor. Three different laptops including a surface book with a SI call all recognize and work fine with both setups I have. NOBODYโ€ฆ
