With a Logitech charging pad I can honestly say that this Asus charging pad only competes with a Corsair charging pad because Logitech screwed them both up. Having had some time to get to know Balteus Qi, I can honestly say that it took a little getting used to. If you are used to the feel of a traditional mouse pad, it will surprise you as it is durable. Surprisingly, I found this fairly easy to get used to (thought it would be a breach of terms and conditions on first use). EDIT1: So it looks like the lighting wasn't "diffused" properly due to a software issue. The angle returns to normal once I desync it with Aura and manually adjust the rainbow. I am now increasing this rating to 4 stars. I will continue to check the aura sync and see if the update fixes this issue.
