Quality monitor - my new test report

I bought an Asus monitor as this brand is known for its quality and so far I am happy with it. It was easy to set up (it came with a stand that you screw to the monitor) and an HDMI cable (that's actually my only complaint - reviews said it didn't, that it came with a VGA cable was delivered, that's what my work laptop supports, so I had to struggle to find it). Since I have a headache, I wanted a monitor that wouldn't irritate my eyes and that would do the trick. The picture is sharp and clear, adjusting for yourself is not a problem. The perfect monitor for working from home, not too big but better than a laptop screen.

Pros & cons

  • Good quality.
  • volume

Works great, sounds great (with headphones)

The first thing that struck me was the great packaging. In no case will this screen be bumped while driving. So I unpacked it, hooked it up to my small laptop (Acer Aspire) and looked at the few saved videos I have. My pet's calluses are dead or the pixels are always on. There are no dead pixels at all, the picture is excellent! Next I used my Panasonic RP-HT360 headphones (not the cheapest, not the best) with a very long cable. Sounds really good. The speakers are only 2.5 watts. What do you expect from speakers? They come with a 5" (6") HDMI connector, so it's a bit short, but I have a 10" long one. Since the monitor is HDCP, it plays Blu-ray movies straight from my Sony Blu- ray player (tested) It also acts as a monitor for my Mac Mini Excellent quality for a $99 monitor that first came out in 2019.

Pros & cons

  • as expected
  • Doesn't rotate as advertised.

Great monitor for gaming and editing

I bought it to use as a second monitor for gaming with my laptop and I absolutely love it. I will say that for the price I ordered this product and expected there would be little to moderate issues due to the low price. I was absolutely amazed at the value of this screen at such a low price. The picture is bright, clear and bright, it was very easy to use. The monitor has built-in speakers, and while the sound quality isn't too bad, they're perfect for what I need. As a bonus, my wife, a professional photographer, uses it to edit her projects and says the colors and detail on it are great for her needs too. I need a third monitor in the near future and will DEFINITELY buy another one.

Pros & cons

  • This monitor is class S, but the sound is not that good. The rest is stealing for its price.
  • It is not height adjustable, only tiltable.

Not as good as the last model I bought.

Well, a few things are missing. The screen does not move / rotate - good. The backlight of the screen (ON-OFF) is at the bottom. It's hard to find and hard to see. The worst thing is the (so-called) built-in SPEAKER. Yeah right ! It's so pathetic that at 100% volume you need hearing aids to hear it. The speaker is ridiculous in my opinion, I mean why bother when you can't hear it and I have SUPERHUMAN hearing - no - in fact I hear above normal. OK, speaker sucks balls. If I paid around $75 I would get 4-5 stars but for $111. Not happy *

Pros & cons

  • I had no problems.
  • weak sentence

Check your computer settings to make sure it's 75 Hz

In a nutshell; I received a brand new computer with this monitor. When I first booted everything up, I noticed that the monitor only runs at 60Hz. What I did to fix this problem was go into my graphics card settings and change the setting to run at 75Hz. So make sure you check it on first boot! Great screen, very smooth and the colors are pretty good. Great looking monitor!

Pros & cons

  • Great quality monitor for the price. The picture is sharp. I bought 2 and they are right next to each other.
  • Weak anti-reflective coating

Green pixel stuck 10 minutes after use.

Tried to use and press the LCD pixel lock, didn't work. I've heard bad things about ASUS online support (including a policy that you're denied compensation unless six pixels are actually damaged) so I decided not to contact them and just returned it. Otherwise, it looks great and there are a lot of useful settings in the menu. However, I've just invested a lot of money in a gaming rig, and personally, 1080p sucks for a monitor this size. I ended up getting a 1440p Pixio monitor for $150 more and I really hope it performs as advertised.

Pros & cons

  • Has worked great so far.
  • Bad power management features.

Great display, small quirks

An excellent monitor with crisp colors, a wide range of settings that are easy to adjust to suit your preferences, and an overall sharp display that's more than enough for semi-serious gaming or anything else you might need it for. The built-in speakers aren't the best and the stand could have been a little less wobbly, but these are incredibly minor issues and the monitor as a whole is worth the price.

Pros & cons

  • I use it for my home office.
  • The monitor refresh rate is too slow.

NOT pivotable, not rotatable, not height adjustable

According to the product description, this monitor can be rotated 90 degrees in any direction and is height-adjustable. Neither one nor the other is right. If any of these are important to you, or you prefer your salesperson not to lie to you, avoid this list.

Pros & cons

  • Frameless
  • weak sentence

Great monitor for the money!

Having to teach from home, a second monitor was the only way to stay sane. I trusted this brand before buying and it has not let me down. The colors on the monitor are brighter than on my Surface, but it was very easy for me to tweak the settings to my liking. I love how easy it is to adjust the height and incline! All in all I'm super happy.

Pros & cons

  • Asus
  • There is a problem

Vertical rotation is not possible!

Great monitor for the price but beware, contrary to the picture it does NOT swivel to a vertical position. Thanks for attention.

Pros & cons

  • Frameless
  • Limited viewing angles

bulkier than a few other smooth

It is expected to be lighter and look more elegant. I was disappointed with the smoothness and the weight. The quality is good, we have been using it for a month.

Pros & cons

  • computers and accessories
  • Lower refresh rate

Good for the money, no DisplayPort.

Decent looking display for the money, so far I've been very happy with it. However, it was advertised with an HDMI connector and a DisplayPort connector. The one I have has HDMI and VGA but no DisplayPort. HDMI is sufficient for my needs, but keep that in mind if you're looking for DisplayPort.

Pros & cons

  • no flicker
  • style 90

Bought a second Asus monitor

I like the picture quality of this monitor. This is the second one I've bought and it's good value for money. Thanks for attention.

Pros & cons

  • Fast shipping, easy assembly, gladly again.
  • Update

Doesn't rotate as advertised

The description and specs specifically state that this monitor can be rotated 90 degrees so you can view it vertically, but it does NOT. The monitor doesn't rotate and that's it, and I don't have room for another horizontal monitor. What a waste of my time and money.

Pros & cons

  • 21.5 inches
  • Only available in black

Pros & cons

  • 21.5" (1920x1080) Full HD monitor with 178° wide viewing angle
  • communication with the seller

does his job. - my new rating

I bought it as a second display. I've had no trouble enabling 75Hz in the NVIDIA Control Panel, although I don't really need it as most of the time I just keep Discord and social media open.

Pros & cons

  • Great monitor for anything you want to do with your computer.
  • Long waiting

Low cost, high quality.

I use it as an extended display for my laptop. I think this is exactly what you need for the office and also for gaming. Image Blurriness: If the resolution is set too low, the display may appear blurry or pixelated..

Pros & cons

  • Not as advertised.
  • Motion Blur: If the resolution is set too low, the display may appear blurry or pixelated.

Very pixelated. in my opinion

I ordered this to replace my broken monitor which I have had for a long time; it still works but needs to "warm up" before it stabilizes. Both should be 1920x1080 both are Asus monitors however the pixels are much more visible and extremely visible. I saw vertical stripes on a monochrome screen. Looks like a CRT monitor. Another reviewer remarked, and I agree, that this appears to be an oversized 720 monitor and filed a refund a few hours later. I actually wanted to replace my current monitor, but it wasn't there. If you haven't changed your monitor in 20 years or don't even have one, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Pros & cons

  • computers and accessories
  • The monitor flickers when playing video games.
