Very cheap display; waste of money

The monitor looks so dark at angles that you can hardly see anything. I use it as a second monitor and have tried to improve the colors and display settings but this monitor is a waste of money. I would spend a little more money to get something better. i will return it

Grainy blurry image

Very poor quality, grainy, washed out image with no black. Color and contrast are severely lacking. The viewing angle is very narrow, especially from top to bottom. I've spent time tweaking all the built-in settings to no avail. I tried VGA and HDMI connections with two different computers, no dice. I have an old version of this monitor that looks fine but this new model looks awful.

Good for my purposes in my opinion

I needed a smaller monitor with a low stand. This is one of the shortest stands I have been able to find as I have my monitors on top of it. The screen seems a little blurry to me, but it suits my needs. Flicker appears intermittently. I suspect it's the laptop's firmware, but I'm not sure.

Asus, what can I say :)

I love this monitor. I had 144Hz from Asus and didn't want to switch. I had to try 244Hz. I can tell you it's amazing. Worth the price for a great product.

Colors wash out and fade, blurring issues

Terrible for colors, there are problems with blurring. It was a Christmas present for my artist son. We will return it. All colors are turned off despite spending hours trying to set them up and adjust them. There was also blurring, which this monitor shouldn't have when running at advertised speeds. Low quality! What a disappointing Christmas morning :(

NO STAND IN THE BOX, in my opinion

The monitor sent to me does NOT have a stand. Revain sent me to the manufacturer instead of just sending me a new monitor. The manufacturer had no spare parts. Neither the part nor the monitor were replaced. Bad audio from both the manufacturer and Revain. DO NOT BUY ASUS PRODUCTS - they do not respond to problems with their products.

As everyone says, not 120 Hz.

I've tried it on my 1070 and 740m laptops along with updated drivers, HDMI 2.1 and everything that might be. It's a typo. I also bought it from J-Electronics and their service is as bad as you can tell when they don't respond to anything. I tried to cancel and after buying it I'm having a hard time returning it. The moral of this story is that I have an A+ certificate and I'm pretty good with computers, so believe me when I say it's nonsense. It's also very bright and makes the picture look…

Super happy with my purchase!

Great monitors. They are exactly the same as the ones I have in my office. I wanted to make sure I wasn't too upset with the transition to working remotely. Fortunately, I had already ordered and received my monitors before the California stay-at-home order for COVID-19 went into effect. Shipping was fast and the monitors themselves are just the right size. The quality is excellent and the picture is super clear. I originally bought a few other monitors but they looked very cheap and didn't add

THIS IS NOT 120 HERTZ! SEE ADVERTISING!

It's not 120 hertz like it should be. You only get 60 hertz and 1080p for this monitor. So don't buy this if you're looking at 120Hz monitors.

It could be good - my new review

The reason for this overall low rating is that buying this monitor is a coin toss. I got one today and it had light leaks. If you're lucky, it's a great monitor.

Good picture, buildability, crappy built-in speakers

UPDATE: I ended up getting rid of it because it just couldn't be bright enough. He has a really good picture. I'm happy with it, play a little and do a lot of school and administrative work, the flyer design is nothing special. My only complaint is the built in speakers suck less than my Surface Pro but overall pretty good, it sticks to my computer arm :) I'm glad the price matches the quality.

The screen would be fine if you never had a reference point in life, but as soon as you see another screen on earth you will find that the screen is too desaturated.

Quality monitor: my rating

This is a quality monitor and one of its best features is the blue light filter. If you stare at a screen for hours, this is for you. This protects your eyesight in the long term.

Don't misrepresent your product.

The monitors looked great. Returned because this item was misrepresented in the description. I suffer from migraines. After the Covid-19 fiasco. I spend a lot of time helping my children with their chores. A higher refresh rate reduces screen flicker. What causes a headache.

Don't buy that (Asus VP228HE 21.5 " Full HD 1920x1080 1ms) for $150.

It's a $90 monitor I paid for it. It has the color and lighting of a $90 monitor, not a $150 monitor. Don't buy at such an inflated price.

I wouldn't recommend it even if the price was $30

There's that whiteness on the screen that no setting changes can fix. Other reviews make you think it's not that bad, but it is.

Poor visibility at an angle

Seems to be a good monitor in many ways, but even from a 20 degree angle it's impossible to see the image. Can work on a desk, but it's almost useless for a security camera wall monitor.

Misleading product and serious color display issues

First off, the claimed 120Hz refresh rate is dead wrong. This is a standard 60Hz monitor. There's also something terribly wrong with the contrast; like it's constantly low. Even with high contrast, all colors are too pale. All blacks blend together and it can't even come close to displaying true black. I've spent a full 2 hours trying all possible combinations of settings to fix this but to no avail. I see no reason to buy this monitor.
