Want a good 1440p monitor? 2021 Edition So I researched for about 3 days and it was so overwhelming at first. I literally went insane and squinted at it seems like every monitor has bad reviews when I finally felt like I'd found one that went back to the drawing board. basically as dense as possible pixel by pixel). 4k is overkill for this size and will ruin your FPS in games. Please. After many comparisons I narrowed the list down to 5 monitors, 2 of which had to be removed. Here we go.1…

REAL REVIEW Rog Strix XG279Q

I HARDLY TURNED ON THE MONITOR AND THE FIRST THING I SAW WAS A BACKLIGHT + A HUGE, DEAD PIXEL right in the middle of the screen (I bought it brand new). That says a lot about AU Optronic's quality control in the manufacture of this panel. Yes folks, this isn't the popular Innulox or LG nano ips panel, it's the so-called "fast ips" panel from AU Optronics. dictate your opinion and not poor quality control due to negligence. After all, I bought this monitor solely for gaming. HDRHDR works when…

Best for competitive gaming

A few notes on advertised features: 270Hz: The monitor flickered a few times, but I think it was due to a problem with the DisplayPort cable. I'm also using a dual monitor setup, one and the other with a real GSYNC module (PG27UQ). When I enabled Adaptive Sync on this monitor before enabling GSYNC in the Nvidia Control Panel, this monitor sometimes went completely black and would not turn on until I restarted the PC. But then again, maybe it could be my dual monitor setup. Now I just enable…

Ideal for Xbox Series S/X and PC gaming.

Basic Review: I'm primarily a PC gamer, but I loved the idea of connecting an Xbox Series X to the same monitor as a companion device for original Xbox games, 360 games, multi-platform, and games I don't may have to. lots of horsepower for. My current monitor is an Asus PG279Q which has served me well for many years, but it is HDMI 1.4 and maxes out at 1440p/60Hz. With both the Xbox Series S and X supporting 120Hz over HDMI, I figured it was time to look for a new HDMI 2.0 capable monitor. My…

Not bad. It could be better.

The monitor is excellent. Arrived without pixel defects, very well packaged. It also comes with HDMI, DP and USB cables. In terms of image quality, it's a big step up from 1080p. Colors look great, although some content has slight streaks due to the limited 8-bit signal at maximum refresh rate. At best, the uniformity is fine. The gray tones look fantastic but the ips glow is noticeable in darker scenes. (1st photo is heavily exposed, 2nd photo is less exaggerated) one of the compromises with…

4.5 stars. No problems with input lag. The sound is missing a bit

Let me start with the most important aspect of this review and why I'm taking the time to write it. I've spent months (seriously) researching monitors because I wanted my purchase to last five years or more without even thinking about upgrading. Out of the half dozen monitors I've bought, this monitor had everything I wanted. It had fast response times, amazing image quality, a 120+ Hz refresh rate, tilt/swivel, speakers, and was obviously white, which suited my aesthetic. One issue I kept…

By far the best 1440p 270Hz monitor

I used 1080p 144hz, 1440p 165hz and now 1440p 270hz. I have to say that it's good for both competitive gaming and professional work. The menu settings are full of good options and easy to use. Although the sRGB brightness is low (you can adjust it with other settings by holding the power button + select button), the other profile selection options are also very good, I use sRGB for work and switch between Racing and FPS to play. 270Hz is fine, definitely use OD Level 4 if you can get above…

Bulky cables do not fit

This monitor is amazing if you have money to spend. Just don't buy bulky HMDI or display cables as there isn't much room in the back for them. Even the cable that comes with the monitor must have a 90-degree bend near the monitor connector.
