AT2020 Foam Windscreen Vocalbeat Microphone Review

I'm using this on an AT2020 (XLR, not USB) and it works much better than I expected. It replaces the nylon pop screen it used to make. Good job, but not as good as this one. It's quite a thick foam, just under 1/2 inch I'd say, so there's plenty of dead space to dissipate air movement, but I didn't notice any impact on sound quality in terms of damping or distortion. I've never been a big fan of pop screens so this one fits my AT2020 perfectly. Couldn't be happier. The voice still sounds very smooth and this completely eliminates the pops. My microphone is between two monitors, and a pop-screen screen covers part of one or both of my monitors, depending on how I position it. Overall I am very happy with the product. It's a good barrier between my mouth. I'm not a big fan of condenser mics in general, but I bought the AT2020 so I didn't have to sit as close to the mic as I do with dynamic mics, and it serves exactly that purpose. First, the packaging was poor. I have a feeling if you are paying $13 for a foam pop filter it should be better packaged. As a result, a few deep dents formed on my foam. It wasn't a big deal because it wasn't ripped or torn anywhere, just worth mentioning. My main issue is that the foam has a slightly negative effect on the sound quality of the microphone and I'm very picky about my sound.
