Terrible instructions

I would give more stars if the assembly instructions weren't so terrible. This took longer than I wanted to say simply because the instructions are rubbish. It holds games in place but it doesn't have a spring like I thought it would. It's only decent, but the terrible instructions make me wish I'd bought something else.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Not automatic

Pleasantly surprised

I've seen a lot of reviews complaining about the complexity of assembly and the fragility of the design, but actually it's not that bad. Assembly is easy - only 8 screws. It's more durable than I expected considering it's $10 and it's made of plastic. My biggest complaint is that one of the poles was just too big and the "book stand" triangles didn't fit on it as intended. I had to put both on the top shelf instead of one on each shelf. All in all still a good deal for the money.

Compact and functional

These shelves are great. I'm a librarian at a public library for the elderly. We needed compact and durable DVD stands. Now we have some of the 5 shelves and we add 2 extra shelves to each one. You have 1 disadvantage. Without shelves, it was difficult for pensioners to put DVDs on the shelves, they easily fell off. The simple solution was to cut and glue 5" x 5.25" shelves out of thick cardboard. Completely solved the problem, but a bit of work. It would be ideal if they had shelves.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Level 2 = Excellent, Level 5 = Good, Level 7 = Terrible

I have over 150 games from different consoles so I have 2 large versions of this shelf. I bought this 2 tier specifically to expand both major tiers. While this gets the job done, I wouldn't recommend using it to extend large shelves as it reduces the stability of the shelves and I'm beyond unhappy. had to pick up and reorganize a large number of fallen games. These shelves hold DS, XBox and PS3/4 cases well but are not suitable for storing PSP/Vita boxes (too small in one size) or PS1* Crystal

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Some little things

WHY IS ASSEMBLY NOT MENTIONED?

This little coaster. I wrongly assumed it would come pre-packaged as there is no mention of assembly. I opened the box and immediately thought of returning this disappointing stack of 9-yes, NINE plastic-wrapped packs. I understand they boxed them for shipping protection and it's cheaper than custom styrofoam or cardboard inserts. But I have arthritis in both hands, and just the thought of opening these bags makes my hands cramp. I'm really sure many find this to be minimal and easy to…

Great storage at a low price

I like this article very much. I've never had space to store all my games, just unsightly piles, and I've cleared some desk space so it's about time. The assembly was quite easy. They don't break down instructions like Ikea does for their furniture, but I was able to follow the pictures and put it all together in under ten minutes. The storage space is pretty good. I was able to play 38 games on this tower. It's a pity I left the little triangular spacers as I think without them I could fit…

It's worth it for the price!

This is a decent little stand for CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays and video games. It is made of plastic (not metal) and needs to be assembled by yourself. While assembly itself is easy and shouldn't take more than 15 minutes, it took me longer due to the unclear instructions. THERE ARE NO WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS, although there should be. You basically just have to follow the five pictures and follow your intuition I guess? It's definitely a trial and error process at first, but you'll get the hang of it…
