Good if the parts fit. This part looks and feels like the original. After removing the old filter gasket that needs to be removed, the new filter and pan gasket will fit perfectly. 1996 Volkswagen convertible.

Good seal, correct size and shape but does not stay in the gearbox when installed. It should fit snugly and not fall off easily. I regret this purchase and hope it doesn't fall into the oil pan and let particles get into the transmission. .

Great filter for the worst automatic transmission ever, which pos. The person who designed this transmission should have been shot. Make sure you change the fluid, although VW says it's a 'for life' fluid, BS it lasts just long enough to exceed the warranty period. Don't forget that you need a VAG-COM computer to check the fluid level, since the dipstick that created it did it without a dipstick.

Easy to fit on my 01M gearbox in a 2003 VW Golf. The filter fits perfectly with the original and the gasket is of high quality. If you are doing this yourself, BE CAREFUL when reinstalling the oil pan. Reuse the metal screw bushings found in the old gasket and install them in the new gasket. The torque for the transmission pan bolts is quite low (80 in-lb) and over tightening these bolts will cause the gasket to fold and break. Sealing and opening a gap through which ATF can flow.
