Enhanced ATP TF-202 Transmission Filter Kit for Automatic Transmissions Review

Fits right, I reused the OEM gasket as it's a better quality than the cork gasket supplied. I've never been a fan of cork gaskets, they punch holes for screws too easily.

The o-ring on the filter and drain plug matches the description and pictures perfectly, but the gasket is flimsy and doesn't look at all like an original gasket or replacement for original equipment. although that is what is shown in the picture. Picture. It's not worth buying as a kit as you'll still have to reuse the original gasket or find another one.

Looked the same as removed genuine Allison parts. It fits perfectly, and believe it or not, the transmission shifts very smoothly now, so maybe the original filter was a bit clogged? I couldn't see it, but I didn't cut. As long as I like it I think I will buy more, great price!

The filter was fine but the gasket is junk. Allison transmissions have a reusable seal. So if you carefully remove the oil pan and clean everything, you can reuse the one inside. I wouldn't use this one no matter what, I'd buy an OEM replacement. I just threw it away. The filter was fine and fitted well.

Someone in a review here said it doesn't have metal rings like the factory gasket, it has the wrong ones, absolutely identical to the factory gasket. Perfect fit for my 04 Duramax. And the same goes for the filter. Upon arrival I thought I would have to go to the parts store to get a rubber washer for the transmission drain plug but when I opened the box it was there.

Filter OK but seal not. I'm not a mechanic but I have enough knowledge and experience to do this job. I was very careful, used the correct tightening sequence and used a torque wrench to tighten, but the gasket still pushed out in two places on the side and the oil literally poured out when I added fluid. I had to buy a better seal and more fluid which added an extra $50 to the job. Lesson learned, buy a more expensive pad and save yourself doing the work twice.
