Not a direct replacement for a 1995 Corolla

It didn't fit the car it was bought for but I couldn't attempt to install it until the return window was closed and it's too late now to return it.

Pros
  • That's great
Cons
  • Minor issues

Fits my 2000 Saturn SL2

My old cable ends are completely worn out and there is no longer a socket. These cables fit perfectly and have been in the car for a month now. It feels like I have a short throw switch in my 00 SL2! Much better!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • No automatic

Does Saturn switch abruptly?

Replaced a broken shift cable on a '98 Saturn. It's a bit of work to get, but it's coming. The Saturn shifts a lot better than before and they're a lot cheaper than at the dealer. I had an issue with it coming from the switch but that was because it wasn't latched where it should have been. since then no problems. (September 2012)

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Short-lived: spare parts

Unfortunately not for very long, although I bought this 4 years ago, I've only driven my car 20,000 km since it was installed. The rubber grommets on the ends of the cable where it connects to my transmission's derailleur tower failed within 6 months, allowing moisture and dust to enter the cable. The cables became increasingly difficult to move and are now unusable. Unfortunately there are no cables available for my Saturn OEM. I actually saved my originals to try to dry grease them with…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Easy to maintain

The Saturn SC2 shift cable is a good product; Good price

The cable came on time and the $65 price was great as the car dealership near me wanted $205. My mechanic fitted it for me but it didn't fit my car, ripped off the connectors and left me stuck in 4th gear. With a little improvisation (twisting cables and making new, stronger clips) everything is fine now. But I shift carefully until I know it won't go out again. Overall, I'm glad I didn't pay $205 and probably got the same result, and I have a great mechanic that allows me to buy parts…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • old

Good replacement cable for Saturn SL1 Manual

Great replacement cable for my 1998 Saturn SL1. Replacing a part is quite difficult. If like most you turn to YouTube for help, ignore the person telling you to remove and reinstall the engine compartment. I tried that and three hours later I got in the car and removed the wires and replaced them. Not easy, but much easier than on the engine side. Therefore, the rubber and metal plate should never go through this small hole. The largest ends required for passage are the same at both ends…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Weight
