Package received in excellent condition. The checks were well made and came in a very sturdy drawstring pouch. I was very happy with my purchase.

They look nicer and heavier in the picture, in real life they differ in shade and lighten when playing. Whether the round piece of wood is stained/stainless isn't much to say.

Although this product is advertised with BLACK and RED checkered parts, the parts are actually BLACK and BROWN and ugly brown. I threw the item away as I don't need the black and tan checks. Someone on the producer side must be color blind. total divorce.

Red and black shown. "Red" is actually a dull brownish back. They seem to be too close in color. I need to do something with the red checks so they don't look that close to black. They are fine in bright light. They don't stick together when you fold a king like the ones you remember years ago.

Just received these assuming they are black and red. Red is so dark that it is indistinguishable from black. Also, circles are engraved on one side and flat on the other. For the price they would be great, if you didn't have a bright light over the checkers table you might find it a little difficult to tell the red from the black.

These are wooden bricks, red and black, about 1 inch in diameter. They are only "stackable" in the sense that you can place one slice on top of the other. In practice, they cannot be stacked as there is no mechanism to lock or prevent the top from slipping off. There are concentric rings on the top of the piece that probably needed to be pressed in to allow the small disc below to hold the two pieces in place, but that wasn't enough for the pieces sent to me.
