Makes transferring media files between devices much faster!

This reader is VERY versatile, I can use it to stream media to/from any device in my house! It's pretty fast when it comes to uploading/transferring images. The only downside is a REALLY short chord. While I'm assuming this will mostly be used for mobile devices, this could also be an advantage. Also note that this is a C-TYPE reader/adapter. It will not work with many devices. I actually bought it for a completely different purpose, thinking I could use it to format the memory card in my…

Great Inexpensive Hub - Computer Accessories & Peripherals

My Lenovo C930 has two Thunderbolt 3 ports (USB Type-C port) and one USB 3.1 Type A port. There are no card slots at all. I use this laptop when I travel to take photos. I need both a CF card slot and an SD card slot. So, as for this hub, I can connect my laptop to one Thunderbolt port and then use it on another Thunderbolt port. I have CF and SD card slots and 3 USB Type A ports to use for my Blu-ray player if needed. The only thing I missed was UHS-II SD card support. As long as they work…

Promising memory card accessory

Does not read CF card. Tried to reformat sdxc cards ii. I think the problem is that it can't read SDXC II cards properly; keeps reporting it as corrupted and wants to reformat the card even though the card can be read by the camera and other devices. There doesn't seem to be such a problem with sdhc, sdxc i and flash drives. Too bad I use sdxc ii in my camera. Still choking on CF cards. It was possible to transfer files from 64GB sdhc and xc-i cards to a 250GB flash drive without using a phone…

Be careful with the CF card slot

While it worked fine for the most part, the CF card slot is a bit finicky. It's easy to insert a CF card slightly crooked, which in turn will bend the contacts and make that slot unusable. Although the SD slot still works and I don't need the rest, I already have a built-in SD in the laptop. So it goes in the bin and I look for a replacement. It goes without saying that I was in such a hurry, entirely my fault. But at the same time I missed the deadline and was late. My lower score is only due…

Compact, lightweight and has a CF slot.

Manufacturers are abandoning Compact Flash cards, but there are still many cameras that use them. For my Macbook I needed a USB-C card reader/hub that can read SD and CF cards. This device doesn't have a power supply, however, so it's not ideal for a Macbook with a single USB-C port. In other words, it's fine when the Macbook is fully charged, but it might not be ideal for transferring precious photos when the computer's battery is dead. So now I have two hubs, a powered USB-C hub that doesn't…

Reliable quality

I'm new to the dongle world. I bought my MacBook Pro 16 about 9 months ago and it only offers 4 USBC and a headphone jack. Other ports are not available and this forces you to buy third party adapters. I don't like buying junk or even inferior products. I am very satisfied with this product! It has an aluminum look and the machining has a low tolerance. When you connect different cables or insert memory cards, you know they will be inserted accurately and without distortion. My camera is a…
