Description of 🎧 High-performance AudioQuest Forest USB A to USB B Cable - Extended length of 4.92 ft. (1.5m)

Solid conductors eliminate strand-interaction distortion and reduce jitter. Solid silver-plated conductors are excellent for very high-frequency applications like HDMI audio. These signals being such a high frequency travel almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor. Digital audio conductors controlled for direction.

An audible improvement over cheap basement cables.

[I posted the same review for Audioquest Forest 3ft Digital Coaxial Cable and Audioquest Evergreen 1ft RCA Cable]. I use a Schiit Eitr/Modi Multibit/Magni 3+ stack on my desk in my home office for headphone listening. It packs a lot of power when it's set up, but its footprint is small enough not to get in the way of my work, which is an important consideration since I sketch a lot at my desk. It would be possible to grab something from iFi or Chord, which would be really good and even more…

This is a really well built cable

It makes little difference to my setup. I have SMS Sanskrit 6th Dak. I noticed that jitter is gone with this cable, it adds some dynamics and the bass is a bit more punchy. But be aware that I have a pretty messy setup. I have at least 10 wires around the USB cable. If you have a clean setup you might not notice a difference. This is a really well built cable. And I don't mind. But is it worth it for this price? Definitely not. However, if you don't want to have the weakest link in your setup…

Jewelry electronics

I let them work between my laptop and a Schiit Modi 2 Uber DAC. The sound continues in Bottlehead Crack and Beyerdynamic DT 990 (600 Ohm) cans. Having spent (again) everything I wanted on a DAC, an amp (until I started chasing shiny capacitors and tubes) and headphones, I've gotten to the point where I have everything I want, spend on cable. For $40, I think it's like a watch; Will my Movado do the same job as my G-Shock? Of course, but it will be much more stylish! Cables at this price are…

Sound of Something

There is a lot of confusion about USB and coaxial digital audio cables, maybe this will help: USB and coaxial digital audio cables are not "digital" cables. These are analog cables. At one end, zeros and ones are encoded into electronic pulses, which are decoded back into zeros and ones at the DAC end, and the DAC synthesizes the sound. Impulses are either encoded and decoded correctly or not. The idea of jitter as something that affects sound quality is a swamp gas. I think the Toslink…

In the A/B test I did not notice any difference to my printer cable.

I bought this to check the weather, the "chic" digital connection cable improves my hi-fi system. It's not like this. My system is a KEF LS50, Rega Brio 3, an OSX device streaming TIDAL through a Musical Fidelity V90 DAC. My system is very well tuned and I can detect very subtle sound differences when testing components. For example, switching from Chord Chrimson Plus RCA (best analog hifi connection of 2011) to Audio Quest Big Sur brought a slight improvement in bass control for my relatively…
