Works much better than I expected. From the basement to the receiver at the other end of the house (on the next level) works great. Worth the money especially when no UHF remote is available. It also works with my VCR.

I placed the TV in my kitchen but wanted to share the receiver with the TV in my room as I will probably never use both at the same time. I tried one of the radio shops that didn't work for us at all and cost more than this one - I'm very satisfied.

RCA D940 works as advertised. You must be very close (within 4 feet) to the transmitter of the signal and the remote control. The distance from transmitter to receiver can be more than 100 feet walking through walls from room to room and room to room.

A remote control signal transmitter was purchased to control our church's projector from the back of the church. The original remote worked just a few feet from the front of the projector. Once connected and set to a clear path from transmitter to receiver, it works like a charm.
