The bags in the box are not sealed well. One of the three burst and when I opened the Amazon bag there were red granules of sugar everywhere. It was a huge mess because when I tried to clean it up the red paint was all over it. In addition, this product is SCENTED which attracts other animals such as deer and bears. The deer chewed on my feeder, trying to get the sugar because they could smell it. Stay away.

I was disappointed when I received this product and found it red. Although the description mentions 'natural coloring' I figured it wasn't red - dyes aren't needed to attract hummingbirds and I try to avoid additives for feeding wildlife. The description must state that the item is RED. I also think the title is misleading and suggests that the product is endorsed by the Audubon Society and I have not found any support for this suggestion. Hummingbirds love this food! After using Audubon I will never buy any other hummingbird food again. I get hummingbirds all the time. It's easy to mix and stays fresh in the fridge so I can refill my feeder when needed. I've been using this brand for about 2 years now. I have tons of tiny lobsters at home. We have a number of shrubs that are 6ft tall and live just steps from our front door. They love this brand but I'm going to make a homemade mix as the color red is starting to sink in my mind and heart as bad for them. I don't want to hurt these beautiful birds, they make my day. Oh how wonderful to find a product that doesn't contain synthetic chemicals or dyes that make it attractive to birds but dangerous to their health. In my experience, this product is far superior to other types of hummingbird food. It comes in pre-measured sachets and just mix with water and you're done! It's more than just sugar water.
