I loved everything about this pretty oiler until I wiped it clean with a damp cloth. I didn't notice that the words Bacon smeared are a little smeared. So the next time I used a slightly damp paper towel and it turned black. So my options are to just keep erasing it until hopefully there are no more letters left, or buy a potsherd with the words engraved on it. I chose Croc. I wanted something cute, not simple. I mean, for $20, keep the color. This is an oiler. You have to wipe it off well.
