This thing won't stay where you put it.

I've been using the thing for about a week. and i can honestly say i hate it. The filter part itself is honestly decent and when it works it does what it's supposed to, but I constantly struggle to make sure the filter stays in place for more than two seconds. Half the time the gooseneck on this thing is trying to unscrew itself from the base so it loses all tension and the pop filters just fall right onto my desk, away from my mic. The rest of the time the gooseneck just doesn't hold the shape

I like it - it works great on the boom

Right out of the box I felt the quality of this pop filter. The clamp is strong and clamps the round arrow securely. The flexible arm is made of metal and is strong enough to hold the filter in place where I want it without gravity weakening over time. The double mesh filter feels like a high-quality material designed with a specific purpose: it reduces the "explosive" noise entering the microphone without over-attenuating the tonal qualities of the voice. This version attaches securely to a tubular post. Another version is attached to a flat surface.

I just upgraded my rating to 5 stars. At first I only gave it 3 stars because it was designed to mount to a tube pole mic stand and I wanted to mount it directly onto a flat surface (my Yeti mic stand). Auphonix now has a version that can be securely fixed to a flat surface. I just got one and it works very well. So I've changed my rating for this version as it's only used with a tube mic. If you want to mount on a flat surface, please buy another version. I should also add that Auphonix…
