Aupoko GQ4-53T Keyless Entry Remote Key Fob for Dodge Ram 1500 2500 3500 Review

I knew it wasn't an OEM product and was wondering if it didn't work. What surprised me was the poor return policy. I was surprised to see that I had to pay 1/3 of the item price to return the defective item. I would be very careful before buying this product.

This is the second now the first I have bought from you. I went to a Dodge dealer and they tried to program it but it didn't work. I returned it for a second one and the same thing happens, the unlock button locks the truck, the panic button doesn't work at all. So I paid $86 to have it not work

My keys are somewhere in my house or tool shed, I just stopped looking for them. Using a service key will quickly become obsolete once you get used to locking/unlocking/booting remotely. I went to my local Chrysler/Ram/Jeep dealer service department, showed proof of ownership and they gave me a key fob programming pen. I made it right in the parking lot in less than 10 minutes. Everything works great including my remote start after sale. I will buy another.

If you have alfaOBD and an OBD scanner, you can program this yourself. I've used alfaOBD and a BAFX OBD scanner to lower the TPMS thresholds on a 2015 Ram 2500 before. Using the same tools, I was able to learn this new key in about 30 seconds. This key starts the truck and locks/unlocks the doors. You need a 4-digit PIN from the retailer. They give it to you for free at the parts desk when you show your title deed registration. $18 with tax for a RAM key replacement is awesome!

I lost my spare key for my 2018 RAM and bought it to replace knowing it would need programming. After calling several locksmiths in the area who charge $250+ for programming and over $350 if I don't provide a key, I bought it and went to my dealer. For less than $80 with taxes, they were able to program the key in about 10-15 minutes and it works great. The only difference between this key and my factory key is that there is no RAM logo on the back of this key, which is fine.

Too bad we can't give a 0 star rating. The locksmith programmed the key fob and it started my truck but would not lock or unlock the doors. Actually the unlock button made my horn buzz like you lock the truck but don't lock it and the lock button did nothing. When I contacted Revain about this they offered a refund for the key fob but not that I had to program it. They said they couldn't refund me that amount just how much it cost me to buy it. I ordered this replacement fob because my 5 year old fob was starting to go haywire (for a 2015 Ram 1500) - it was super sensitive, triggers, unlocks three , four or more if he took the keys out of his pocket. The small metal Belleville spring diaphragm/spring in my Ram keychain ended up emitting a genie so the lock button wouldn't push and come back. However, my PCB, programming, and case were fine and the dealer is asking $600 for them.
