🌡️ Accurate and Reliable: AUTO METER 2635 Z-Series Electric Water Temperature Gauge Review

After a month and a half of use, this sensor is defective. Every time I turn the car on the meter reads over 250. I hooked up a spare meter my friend has and it reads the correct temperature.

I have been using the Autometer temperature gauge for over a year now and couldn't be happier with the product. Decided to get this water meter to fill my second empty pod. Installation went smoothly, everything works great. Quality product from a great company. Keep it up guys.

Installed to replace a broken factory water level sensor in an old Blazer. We only use this truck as a 4x4 ranch truck and the temp can get up there if you drive uphill in four low mode for a long time so being able to monitor the temp was important. The sensor responds quickly and behaves as expected. Excellent quality.

Works great. Nothing complicated, stylish and expensive was required. It was installed on an aircraft belt loader to replace another faulty temperature sensor. It was very easy to install, the sender block bolted directly into the existing thermostat housing and had a nice clean and simple look. I will definitely be returning to Auto Meter for all of my future gauge needs.

At first I didn't understand how the single wire transmitter works. Then after some research it turned out that the threaded housing needs to be grounded, ie if you are using it on a coolant hose adapter make sure the adapter has a mounting point for connecting the ground wire. Autometer sells this adapter, but many aftermarket companies make their own adapters with different diameters for different coolant hoses.
