A good product. - Electrical

Seems to work fine (I'll see) Installation went smoothly, installation and placement was easy too. The other gauge I had didn't stay securely connected to the OBDII port, had to disconnect and reconnect it every time the car started. I'll see how this one works. So far so good.

  • handy thing

Great for 1998 Toyota Tacoma

I want to see my fuel consumption while driving. Since my Sr5 truck is an automatic, it doesn't have a tachometer. With this device I can see the engine RPM, gas mileage and average gas mileage. Very accurate. The smog place was mesmerizing! I love this product!

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Transparency

Poor design for lighting and electronics

The sensor works as expected when plugged in, but there's no good way to mount it on a dashboard or hard surface. the tape fails quickly and the mounting surface is insufficient. quite disappointed. Don't buy it unless you want to tie it to something or dangle it from power cords.

Pros
  • A few competitors
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Owning the Auto Meter 9105 pays off!

Nice tool for increasing fuel economy per gallon and drivability. I'm used to driving a 2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and before deciding to buy this excellent ecometer I figured I was driving well. After installing and driving the way I used to drive my MPG was 12.2 and now with the Auto Meter 9105 my Jeep is consistently putting out 15.1 CTY and up to 16.8 HWY. Calculate!

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers

Our first trip almost paid for!

On a recent trip of 5+km (highway/city combined) I used this to monitor my fuel economy (along with a few other small tweaks) and took my fuel economy from 35.1 to 43.8 mpg increased! By my calculations I saved about $85 in fuel! I love the ease of use of this economical meter and especially the ease of switching modes and LED brightness while driving. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Very expensive

Possible squelch when tuned to your radio's 107.5 FM signal

This Auto Meter 9105 works as intended. This additionally verified the correctness of my calculations for my car. My problem is that I'm listening to 107.5 FM radio and after about 30-45 seconds it generates a lot of static noise in the speakers. Immediately unplug it from the ODB II on my truck and the static electricity it generates will instantly dissipate. I bought a clip-on ring ferrite core (two, one on each end of the cable) to eliminate the autometer cable's antenna effect. This did not

Works perfectly! fits sensors

I bought this for my Honda Pilot. I was hoping that I could adjust my driving style to increase my MPG. Decided to get the same mileage whether I drive normally or like a little old lady. I got rid of the pilot and got a Prius. However, it worked as advertised so it easily deserves 5 stars. It took about 3 gas tanks to calibrate it and it was a bit of a hassle as the OBD connector is not meant to be plugged in and unplugged multiple times. However, once it's done, it's done and will give you…
