It works but only has light for moderate adhesion

I used this to wrap around some engine bay connectors that were starting to break. This tape was easy to apply but the adhesion was weak to moderate so you need to make sure you stick the tape well and overlap the tape. After a month and about 1000 miles it was still in place, although I doubt it will last 100,000 miles like the OEM tape. Although it's cheaper than some of the other brands, the price seems high given the average performance.

Doesn't look good but really sticks

I bought this a while ago but it's only useful now. The reviews are correct, it doesn't stick to hands very well at all BUT don't let that fool you! He is holding up very well! It also doesn't leave the typical sticky residue you find with regular electrical tape. Also confirms shape much better than your standard duct tape. I'd definitely give this a try if you're tired of old-school duct tape that eventually loses its tack and leaves everything on your wires.

Pros
  • High abrasion resistance, engine harness tape provides excellent protection of the harness from abrasion;
Cons
  • Appearance

Although satisfied it appears to be working well

It appears to be working well. I recently upgraded my headlights on my old Subaru and was able to create a nicely wrapped and therefore protected wiring harness. Now I feel a lot better because the fragile cables seem to be well protected. I don't know how long it lasts, but I haven't had any problems for 6 months.

Cons

Good but not what I expected from cloth tape

Received today - the tape is very strong and sticks to itself very well, it's quite thin and has a transparent/silky texture - I've had some Expect something similar to the tape that OEMs use for wiring under the hood or in the car. I think it will work fine for my purpose and I'm happy with the quality and price, it's just not quite what I expected.

not what I was looking for

Not the real deal. I used real string tape. it's not that. Not even close to the handle needed for the engine bay. Update: after 3 weeks all glued ends are blowing in the wind without sticking to anything. I don't know how it can work for anything, or if I have some kind of string tape spinning happily to annoy the user. " Duct tape. This is by far the most disgusting excuse for car looms and seat belts.

Pros
  • Car audio and video installation
Cons
  • Small parts
