Only works on strong VHF signals

Very easy to install on my 2006 Chevy Colorado. I was very happy with it because the old one scratched the roof of my concrete garage. But after use, the FM channels weren't as strong as the AM1500. basically didn't work at all, nothing but static. I think it's a matter of physics because a bigger antenna picks up a stronger signal. I will put the old antenna back in.
