Works like a master, good value for money and I would buy again. A small caveat: don't hold the welder on the stud for too long, maybe 1 second or so, it takes practice. My first pair of welds burned through the metal :( Not the welders fault, operator error. Overall this is a great item and I would buy again.

I bought this for my son who was very pleased with it. He says it works exactly as expected and is quality gear. The drummer cut the ending, but he says it's a strange thing. I am contacting the seller to inquire about replacing the slide hammer.

I have been doing body work for almost 20 years. This is a good alternative to buying a tool cart bolt setting gun. It's almost a third of the price and only works to be found. I've been using it for a year now with no problems. I was careful with him and treated him well, but that was about it. It works well.

Having seen several different ways to grip bolts with these slide hammers I can say this hammer does it better than others I have seen. You twist it to grip the bolt while tightening the bit on the drill to keep it from loosening. Can't say enough how much better it is. All in all the gun worked great and I couldn't be happier with the results.

One of those tools I should have bought decades ago, it quickly helped break open the door of my 1988 Land Cruiser. I've only been using it for a few days, but I can say that this is a quality tool that will last for many years. Attaching the stylus takes a split second, and the slide hammer grips well and doesn't slip. I almost bought the cheaper one from HF but am so glad I spent a little more on this one.

TIP FOR THIS TOOL: Use the correct size extensions. I use 12 gauge 25 ft 20 amp. This is of great importance. I couldn't imagine that I would need more energy. If you do this you should just weld on the tongue and use a large slide hammer. In the body shop for 7 years. My last one was stolen but it was a great replacement for a lot less than what I paid for the tool cart for the first one.

Practice copper pointing on a variety of materials. The instructions warn of holding times > 1 second. Believe me, yes, shorter ones hold up better IF you hold them properly and know where the current material contacts are. Keep all surfaces clean. Pay attention. This sucker is really heavy, at least for me, but maybe not for you. I expect this tool to last forever if used properly. Pay attention to the pin size you order and the mandrel size you have. Great tool. I've never used a welder before. Very easy to use. It only takes a few nails to get the hang of it. Just make sure all the paint is removed and don't leave it on for too long (or you'll burn a hole in the case). You will understand in a short time.
