I've been using Avalon Organics Intense Defense Cleansing Gel for years. I loved it because it worked well and smelled amazing. I really liked the cleansing milk and moisturizer. When I ran out of detergent I came here to order more but couldn't find it. But this cleansing gel from Avalon Organics showed up. I thought this product would be like the intense protective cleanser c which I LOVE. This is anything but true. I thought it was fake because it smells like the product is "out of date" or expired. And it dried out my skin. I'm surprised because I love this brand. This cleaner is terrible.

This appears to be a replacement for the Intense Defense line and I am extremely dissatisfied. It took me years to find a cleanser that worked and was this good for my skin. ID was perfect. My last bottle was stretched with water while figuring out why I couldn't find the product I wanted. This new formula bottle is back. Avalon Organics should be ashamed for ruining a good cause.

We were disappointed with the reduced size and new scent after using the previous formula on a daily basis for many, many years. Does it have the same vitamin C content? Unfortunately, we may have to look for alternatives to a favorite product. Why spoil something good?

I always use avolan Organics Vitamin C Wash! Suddenly you can't do it anymore. I even contacted the company and the customer service rep acted like he was stupid and said he wasn't aware of the product change. You laugh! I've read a few questions from other customers asking if this product is the same as the old product. Unfortunately it isn't. The ingredients are very similar, but there are some differences. And whatever those changes are, it's no longer a pretty, clear/colorless cleaner with an amazing scent. I am so disappointed in the new formula from Avalon Organics. I have been using the Intense Defense Cleansing Gel for over ten years now. I absolutely hate everything about this new formula. First, it comes in a much smaller bottle and costs more than the old formula, despite being smaller. The formula itself looks like they took cheap hand soap and put a fancy label on it.
