I keep coming back to this Aveda tone, keep experimenting with other brands that are half the price but just don't fit. Great tone, light enough that you won't feel it on your hair and strong enough to retain a natural hold. I especially like that it's water based and just rinses my hands with water, I hate the oily residue you can buy from other cheaper brands. I don't experiment anymore. Aveda, you have a regular in me!

I like this product for a while (maybe 10 hours) but at the end of the day it seems to lose all effect and can even cause my hair to dry out looks worse.

I have short/medium wavy hair and this product allows me to style it off my forehead and hold it up all day. The smell is pleasant, easy to apply and rinse off. A bit of it is enough, one bath is enough for me for about 3 months, maybe longer. I used to be an America Crew guy but this product is superior to their putty.

Excellent product. However, it's worth noting that this product can be purchased directly from Aveda for less. Aveda.com's typical purchase price is $25 per item. I could be more understanding if this product was eligible for Prime, but it isn't. $37 is a decent premium.

I don't like my hair looking greasy but I wanted to be able to style it in the morning and not worry about it breaking during the day. This is exactly the product I needed. I've been using it for a couple of years now and may need to buy a new one every 8-10 months. The price seems a bit high, but it lasts for a while.

Aveda still leads. Not the cheapest, but with Aveda you get what you pay for. No sticky mucus on the hair, no unpleasant fruit smells. This is an elegant product and I feel good using it. Not sure why they sell it as "male" grooming putty? I see it as a unisex product, even better than women's lipsticks.

Works great, easy to apply, good hold, very little residue. Ideal in that sense. Unfortunately, it smells terrible, almost pungent. Very sharp and unpleasant like the worst smell in a hair salon, if they could fix the smell that would be perfect

I love this clay for several reasons: it has a medium hold so my hair still moves without losing hold like a gel does and it has a matte finish Finish so my hair doesn't look wet all the time. I have very fine hair so it only takes a few strokes to get everything in place and it doesn't stick my hair to my head so I still get good volume. If you have medium to fine hair and want something matte for a low maintenance side parting, I recommend Aveda Hair Clay. very bad. Your mileage may vary.
