🪶 The Aviator 54in Matte Black Distressed Koa Ceiling Fan: Smart Flush Mount, Indoor & Outdoor, 3-Blade Design with Wall Control Review

The light generates heat, expands the lamp body and causes the fins to rub against the lamp. The canopy is very difficult to mount with the four mounting screws provided. Contrary to the description in the installation instructions, the through holes in the top of the motor housing are not slotted, which makes it extremely difficult to align the motor assembly and the holes on the mounting bracket.

I have three modern devices, one of them is Aviator which fans have spent 1000 on. I've been trying to get it working for 4 months, they sent me replacement brains to solve software issues and now all 3 fans won't turn on at all. Terrible product, I have basically 1k bricks and can't return them because I've had them for months now. ONE WAY.

I wrote a positive review earlier and it worked fine for 2 months. Then the lighting kit arrived and I found the interior was broken, won't reassemble and looks awful. Neither the seller nor the manufacturer are responsible. Extremely annoying and a huge waste of time. Suggest avoiding modern shapes - looks like quality but it isn't and customer service unwilling to help. 5 emails and multiple phone calls, 6 weeks later and I'm still left with just a broken fan and unusable lighting kit

The quality control of these fans is very poor considering the premium fan's high price. Of the three I received, two had loose/flexible motors in the fan housing. It appears to be a manufacturing defect where they overtighten the nut on the motor shaft and strip the nut at the factory. (see photo) Before installation, be sure to check the motor for play! Nice fan, but smart features suck. I would not recommend downloading and using the modern forms app. Not only is it difficult to pair, but it also constantly collides with the wall switch. Trying to turn on/off or change the speed manually with the wall control will always reset the app's settings. I tried using just the Smart Control app but it showed up as offline/not connected more often. Finally, I just decided to remove the fan from the app and it works fine with just the wall switch, but…

Finally installed my new fan and it looks great. Also rebounded for the light kit. All in all, it took about an hour to remove the old Hunter and install the new one. The pairing process took several attempts to find a signal (10 minutes) and it took Alexa 30 seconds to learn the commands. If you have an extra red wire, like mine, going from the wall switch to the fan location, it's not needed for this setup. I love my new Aviator fan! The finishes really complement each other. I love that these fans are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use as I can install the same fans in my living room and on my porch. Wall control included and very easy to install in the junction box. I installed a switch in a 2 speed switch box and was able to reuse the same decorative switch cover I already had.
