Nice to have About

I used parts from this kit to install an Avid BB7 on a Lauf TR fork with a 180mm rotor. I had to mix and match a lot of different parts to make it work, but it's been going really well for 18 months now. This is a great little set of parts to solve Avid's and Shimano's non-standard brake seating problems.

Perfect fit, price and fast delivery.

Fast delivery and great product. I somehow lost one of the front bolts from my Juicy 3 on my Gary Fisher Trek. Found this at a good price and based on other reviews I clicked the button and ordered these bad boys. I ended up swapping the front and rear. Good range of spacers and screws fit perfectly. would recommend.

  • Everything is fine!

There are several types of 20mm post spacers but this is what you need, especially if you have non-Avid brakes. The reason for this is that they come with sets of convex/concave washers that go on either side of the caliper (inside the concave washer is built into the spacer so you don't need as many parts). They allow you to fine-tune the alignment of the caliper; This will help compensate for misalignment of the struts and align the entire surface of the washer/spacer with the underside of…

A set of 20mm spacers replaces 160mm rotors with 180mm rotors.

I recently bought a 2015 Specialized AWOL Elite with 160mm rotors and Tekro Spyre mechanical disc brakes. The rear caliper mounting posts needed lining (they were curved relative to the axle). Since my local bike shop didn't originally have a Park DT-4 or DT-5 pad tool, I decided to fix it myself (and upgrade to 180mm brakes) with: 1. Shimano Ice Technologies SM-RT86 V2 6 bolt -Rotor - 180mm 2nd set Avid 20 S strut seals, front 180/rear 160 2 sets, 1 for front, 1 for rear. In addition to moving
