AVLT Power Aluminum Spring Monitor Extended Review

I've bought several different swivel monitor arms in the past and this is the only disappointment. I have relatively light monitors on these mounts and can't be made to stay in any vertical position other than fully down or fully raised (a little unreliable in the up position). The other Ergotron and Revain Basic manipulators stay in whatever position I put them in. The listing features an image showing that this mount supports 180 degree "screen rotation", clearly represented as rotation about an axis perpendicular to the screen. THE PRODUCT DOES NOT DO THIS. I will be returning both mounts. I hope that the seller or Revain will make the product description more transparent.

The product is very easy to install. Good guide. Looks very well made and solid. By removing the monitors from my work surface, my desk became significantly tidier! Love it! I mounted it on a metal stand on my office wall and used alternative oversized metal screws. Installs in less than 45 minutes. It worked great, no complaints!

I loved this wall mount. I've used it to hold a 32" monitor and a 27" monitor. Installation was relatively easy. I received all parts. However, after just a month of use, one of the mounts failed to hold the 32" monitor. I tightened the tension as much as I could and the problem was not resolved. I have a big heavy old Hanns-G 28" monitor and a heavy old Samsung 24" monitor and both were easy to install. The design of the top two screws makes them difficult to attach to a single 2x4 bolt. So remember that you need to drill the pilot hole slightly up and towards the center for the left screw and slightly up to the left and towards the center for the bottom right screw. to make sure the screws fit snugly in the stud and not just cut the edge.
