I had no problem converting HDMI to HDSDI signals. I have converters that are very expensive and not always practical for my wallet for every application. I bought some cheap ones and they lasted a use! They are well made, do their job and don't hurt my wallet. I recommend this product.

    Works great in video converters

Very well done. Housing. Works with my $4000 Panasonic BT1700 (or something like that) monitor so I don't have to offer it just a few years after switching to a DSLR. But the power adapter cable is the cheapest kind. Like a crappy little thing. And the screw holes don't match for easy mounting on my monitor. Don't worry about one or the other. works perfectly. I'm excited.

Works with Blackmagic Atem 1m/e 4K

I use two of these to route HDMI outputs from two Nvidia computer graphics cards to a Blackmagic Design Atem 1m/e 4K. You need to make sure that the computer resolution matches the Atem video setting and that the color space is set to YUV in the Nvidia control panel. The default color space for Nvidia graphics cards is RGB, which does not display correctly on Atem video output. The device has been running flawlessly for almost a year now. That's the real deal.

    Basic HDMI to HD-SDI converter

I ordered one of these to see if it could do the job of a more expensive converter. It works and seems to produce a quality signal. The only potential downside is that when the input source or resolution is changed, it takes about 6 or 7 seconds for HD-SDI to negotiate and start outputting. I won't be using this on the critical broadcast path, but for simple, non-critical inputs, this converter will do. I deducted a star because there is no way to update the firmware or set options (e.g. a…

    • Not bad

This unit is used to convert the output signal from a DIRECTV box (HDMI) to an HD/SDI broadcast monitor. It locked on signal out of the box and showed video perfectly at any resolution 1080i, 720p, etc. on the monitor. No problem. But shortly after blocking, it starts to reset the signal every few seconds, resulting in a black frame appearing on the monitor. Tried every possible setting on the DIRECTV box to adjust the output resolution but to no avail. I've tried adjusting the monitor…

Works well at 200 feet. 300 may be rough.

Does the job, but sensitivity can't hurt. I am using a 1080i video system. I can get a good picture with a 200ft RG6 lens. At 300 feet it is unstable and has some snow. I found that using an active splitter at the end of a 300ft run killed the signal. Not the source end, but the receiving end - right next to this field. So this box may not be as delicate as it could be. So I'm wondering if an active splitter can accommodate enough to reclock and clean up the signal - why isn't that hardware…

I'm disappointed because I tried to assert myself.

I am frustrated trying to get my pros to work with the Black Magic ATEM TVS but it only works when the ATEM is set to 720 59.94 fps and the Go Pro is set to 720 120 fps per second with Avue. I need 1080 so I can record video in 1080 and my other cameras work in 1080 over SDI so 720 is useless to me. However, Avue works well with my Nikon D5200 at 1080 resolution, so the Go Pro is really picky. Now I'm going to try a more expensive one. AJA HDMI to SD/HD-SDI Video and Audio Converter, and if…
