Powder is great for protecting my 1 year old's scalp from the sun but you have to pry the cap off with a screwdriver. I think the cap should unscrew, but it looks like it's defective. I twist it, twist it, but it won't come off (yes, I know the left-hander is hanging out). I need to find a separate container and pour the powder into it so I can use it in practice.

I tried it on bare skin and I don't think it works well. It was rather grainy, spiky and uneven. I then used it with a damp makeup sponge to set my makeup and found it worked well. So I use it for my face. It leaves a white cast, but if you have fair skin it won't be too noticeable. I doubt the way I use it will give me a full SPF 25. But as an extra layer over sunscreen skincare and makeup, it's fine.

I'm not expecting it to be too much but my boyfriend and I are very pale and a little extra protection is better than nothing. It's also good for mattifying my makeup. I apply it with a brush and then sometimes rub it in with my hands. It leaves a white sheen that isn't very noticeable on ivory skin, but it's more noticeable on my pink friend. Skin color.
