This diaper pail refill definitely does the job of keeping odors at bay. Through trial and error, I found that this brand keeps my baby's room smelling fresh for longer periods of time compared to other brands I've tried. However, I do wish that the plastic material was more eco-friendly. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this product for its powerful odor elimination.

I think thicker is fine but they are almost impossible to tie due to the stiffness of the plastic. This probably explains other users' reports that odors are not included.
