After learning how harmful the chemicals in some sunscreens can be I went to the EWG website to order Find products with the best ratings. It had a rating of 2 (0-1 is best) while many of the ones I found in stores were 7-8 with potentially carcinogenic ingredients or irritants if you have sensitive skin. I've used this a few times on my 7 month old baby and it slides right on. I've heard that some other mineral-based sunscreens are difficult to apply. I didn't notice any smell or negative side

They're gritty! I have VERY sensitive skin that gets even more sensitive in the sun. I had to reapply it after a sun reaction (not sunburned but probably equivalent for the average person) because I couldn't get in right away and the sand was sooooo sick! We're semi-crisp so I wanted a sunscreen that wasn't totally free of toxins but wouldn't break the bank. This seemed to fit the bill.
