it is cheap and safe

Close to what I was looking for but it is very cheap and the lens is not dark enough for stick welding and almost too dark for torch welding. With some modifications it's fine for my purpose but I wouldn't recommend it since I bought it. Definitely buy some snaps to put it on the velcro just won't hold up

Cheap chinese junk: Head Guard

There are better options for a leather hood. I'm a welder and needed a hood to get into hard to reach places. I wish I could spend the extra $10 and order better quality blue leather from other sellers. This cheap Chinese range hood has flaws at every corner. The rivets are broken, the lens is held open by springs that fall off and break, the velcro on the rear strap stops working after a month etc etc etc. Basically if you need it for a job or a quick weld this will work . , but for frequent…

len's Shade - Head Guard

I bought this welding hood because sometimes there is a light in my welding helmet. This hood solves that problem. but a word of caution. Another customer said the lens was tint #11, when I compared it to my tint #10 it was definitely lighter. Luckily I had a spare #10 and just changed it. I think this product could be improved with either a ratchet strap attached to the lens or a rubber strap instead of velcro. When I lift a dark lens, the lens hood shifts a little. I'll use the hood some more
