Not too soft, not too hard, but just right. These cushions are thick enough and comfortable enough to cover a wooden bench so that its occupants can sit comfortably for quite a while. They don't slip and the drawstrings provide extra security. Some cushions are so thick that they increase seat height significantly, but they provide comfort without adding height. Worth the money - great deal!

These are well made square ottomans that I use for two bench seats at a dining table with a fold down top. I ordered them because they are not too big and the thickness is just right. There are straps attached to the cushions that can be fastened under the bench to keep the cushion from moving or falling off. They are very comfortable to sit on. It would be great if there were more modern fabrics.

Perfect for those 12*12 kids chairs. Velcro straps are strong and keep things in place. I was a bit disappointed that the nonstick coating wasn't actually attached to the pad. First put the sticky backing and then the pillow on top. Luckily, the straps keep everything in place pretty well. They had a chemical smell when they arrived but that went away when I washed them. Good thing they are machine washable!

I play musical instruments, sometimes for two hours without a break. I got that less for cushioning than for height gain. I'm 1.80 m tall and the average folding chair seems too low to me. So I strapped it to my regular chair and then experimented with putting a rescue cushion underneath. Precisely. And the velcro is strong enough to hold both pillows even when folded up and thrown back in the car. When you've received a folding chair for one-time use, it may take some effort to secure it.

I wasn't sure if this cushion would meet my needs so I took a chance ordering it and I'm so glad I did have! I actually use it on the milk crate I sit on to clean the tray and it fits perfectly. The crate was so uncomfortable, but this pillow is a lot softer than I thought it would be, and at the same time it's firm enough that I don't feel the milk crate's hard plastic diagonal design under my breasts. So my kitchen chairs are solid wood and a bit smaller than most of my other chairs. At 14" wide, I'm having trouble finding the right pillow for her as most pillows I've found are 16" x 16" or 12" round.
