I have used such devices in the industry for.

I have been using similar devices in industry for many years. This works as I expect. It is designed to be placed on a metal surface to which magnets can be attached. It takes about 20 seconds for the temperature sensor spring to warm up and start turning the dial.

Pros
  • Magnetic back
Cons
  • I say nothing

Poor quality thermometer

This was one of the most expensive magnetic surface thermometers. When I received it, the hinge on the case was broken and the cover on the back of the thermometer was also broken off. I was very disappointed with this product for the price paid. I advise against ordering this item.

Pros
  • Accuracy: ±2% of full scale
Cons
  • No performance
