Sturdy and versatile jars

These jars are the perfect size for storing small servings of homemade jams or sauces. Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I've learned that they're perfect for marinating meat or vegetables before grilling. The quality of the glass is great, and the airtight seal keeps the contents fresh. The only downside is that the lids are a bit tricky to screw on tightly.

150 Years of Canning History

I use Mason's Quart and 1/2 Quart Wide Mouth to store just about anything. I keep a supply of stamped caps on hand so I don't have to worry about a leaking seal. This time I ordered caps and rings because sometimes acid gets on the ring and I don't have time to wash it. They will be rough and pitted and will be difficult to screw all the way in. so i throw them away. These are genuine, high quality mason jar lids and rings.

Don't fall for a damaged box deal.

When it's too good to be true. I use a lot of them. Ball and Kerr are the only brands I use. When I saw an offer for damaged boxes I gave it a try. They explained that the goods were checked (lids, bowls). A whole set was damaged when I received them. They were bent. I would have kept one, but that wasn't an option. Because those who read this are mostly conservatives. Don't be fooled by fairly clear jars, they do break during processing, even when canned in a water bath. Instead, I used the…
