Not what I ordered - Lids

The "Ball" lids I ordered were not Ball branded but unbranded and the regular size lids ordered were wide-mouthed , so not the I can use it for my regular glasses. I had a few wide mouth jars left so I canned some tomatoes in them and used new lids only to "seal" to find that when closing there were ripples around the edges of the lids so I'm not sure if it is genuine print or not. All in all I am very disappointed in them and that I now don't have the lids for the regular sized jars I still…

Damaged on arrival

Upon receipt I opened each box due to warnings that they were not of the usual quality. Many of these lids had curved edges, making them unsuitable for canning. I compared them to the ones I had last year and they are much thinner. I am not satisfied with this purchase. It's a lot of money to spend on something that doesn't work. There's a lot I can do and I don't want my food to go bad because of inferior canned materials. I thought it would be good to choose the Ball brand, but it looks like…

BALL, solve this problem!

I have had problems with ball canopies that have not closed securely in the last three years. I've lost bottles of pressure cooked beans, jam that isn't sealed, and many other items. My sister in law has used some of my lids and had some breakdowns last year as well. She lost 15 liters of peaches. We find that very depressing. I've been canning for 50 years and I know what I'm doing, whether it's jams and jellies, fruit and tomatoes cooked in a double boiler. I make applesauce, veggies, soups…
