Works but you must either buy new cables or use (modify) an existing one. A pin plug needs to be changed. If you look at the photo you can see a yellow circle, these are the contacts that need more contact from the stock harness. Note the slightest change in diameter from original (thin) to aftermarket (slightly bulky). I just slipped a small eyeglass screwdriver through the stock wiring harness and plugged in the connector. Not the best approach, but my headlights work! And best of all: I…

Working perfectly but only 2 years / 40,000 miles

Ballast appears to be well finished. I've been using it for 6 months now and so far so good. It looks and feels the same as the OEM it replaced, minus the tag on the front. No coding required for installation, just plug and play. No flickering or other notable issues. I just replaced my other ballast with a different one. To be honest I don't expect these ballasts to last 10 years like I did OEM but for the price they are a good investment. UPDATE: Both ballasts failed after exactly 2 years (I…

It fits perfectly on my 2011 Volvo XC70.

I installed this on my 2011 Volvo XC70 and it was my problem when the lights went out and it wasn't a bulb. A genuine factory part for it costs $500. This one cost me $50. That's literally 10% of the factory price. It was very easy to install and as you can see in the picture it literally sits at the bottom of my light setup. The only issue I had was not the part's failure, but Volvo's failure to reconnect one of the connectors. There was no slack in the line and you had to blindly thread it…

Good product. DIY Headlight Assembly

This product does what it promises. I have a 2008 328i E90 that failed the inspection because the right hand headlight appeared to be off. My daughter drives this car and lives four hours away. After I sent it to a trusted store, they changed the lightbulbs and it didn't help. They suggested it was probably ballast and the bumper would have to be taken off to fix it. After my extensive research on YouTube I figured I could handle it and because of this issue I got fed up with her driving with…

Click or skip .Update. Amazing GenXenon

2 Stars. Upon delivery they were great. Unfortunately it didn't work on my 2006 BMW 330i. I think it's hit or miss. I bought a used one of the same model and the bulb lit up right away. I tested it on another working fixture as recommended and it blew the bulb (no I didn't touch the bulb and yes I had a working ballast connected on the other side). Don't worry I had to replace new bulbs while removing the bumper. It might need to be re-coded for my car but I highly doubt it. Update 07/01/2018 I

Costs significantly less than OEM

My passenger side xenon headlight went out on my E90 328Xi and after some troubleshooting including replacing the xenon bulb I found that the ballast had failed. After looking at OEM dealer and online prices I decided to give this ballast a try. The reviews were good. Happy to report that it works as described. Below are some notes about the product and its installation. I hope it helps. The ballast comes nicely packaged in a static bag. It is recommended to replace the cable that connects the…
