I was renovating my kitchen and wanted to replace the built in cutting board. It must be a certain size to fit the cutout. I did a quick search for Revain and found this. Arrived in a short time and fits perfectly. It was made to the exact dimensions given. I found the price a bit high but I needed this specific size.

When I first saw this I thought it was beautiful, but after I washed and dried it I saw hundreds of small thin hairs sticking out of the bamboo like splinters. When I pulled out a few they came out, which worries me. I don't want small bamboo splinters in my food. I'm going to have to re-sand this whole board and I don't even know how to polish it afterwards, it's food safe.

Had to remove 1/8 inch from the side to fit the hole and slide out the cutting board guide. Got a splinter from initial handling and fine sanding was done on both sides of the board before further sanding. Drilled a hole for a handle at one end. Ready to use! my electric grinder and my plane.

This is a great cutting board and the width/length measurements were accurate. However, there was no bevel on the edges. The board has square edges, but most countertops have rounded edges. Luckily I have access to carpentry tools and was able to sand the edges to fit. It looks and works great now, but unless you have the skills or tools, this could be a quick comeback for a lot of people.

I have no idea how to measure the opening wrong. This is a beautiful board! High quality. I was excited. I looked into my opening and saw 2 tiny boards on each side of the opening, a tiny exit out of sight so the width would be reduced as well. They're all a standard 3/4 inch height, so I'll have to find a 14 inch width I think. This is a very high quality heavy wood with a beautiful colour/texture. PERFECT FIT, I will take a picture.

Ordered this to replace my old wood size 20x16. At first the new bamboo board didn't fit when I tried to fit it into the slot. After careful comparison with the old circuit board, I noticed that the edges of the old circuit board are slightly rounded despite being the same size. Full disclosure, we didn't purchase this as a stand replacement so I can't speak to its suitability for the role. We bought this because we needed a larger cutting board and it has been a full size in THIS container so far.
