Very addictive reading workout

Love it! My 5 year old loves making words out of them to practice her word families, phonics and reading. The tile size is perfect. The tiles and the bag are of very good quality. I'll probably order a second set soon so she can say more words. We used the original bananagrams, but they work much better for them because of the letter pairs and the size of the tiles.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Hard to say

The best sound manipulator I've ever come across.

I teach students who have trouble reading and have a small daughter of their own. I bought these for my daughter to play the game, but I "borrow" them all the time for my class. The quality of the tiles is fantastic. Many letters are jumbled up, making them great for manipulating word families. I also like that they are in lowercase. The game itself is fun too!

Pros
  • Inspires trust
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Bananas are fun!

We ordered My First Bananagrams for my granddaughter in first grade. She uses them to prepare for her weekly word spelling and word recognition program. Each week we sort the letters for her list of words she needs to learn and put them in a ziplock bag. The fact is that the letters are cute and the letters are very colorful. The only concern or hint would be that the consonants are one color and the vowels are another. I would recommend this product and know it will be a tool we can use for…

Slightly better for a 6 year old

We also have the regular version of Bananagrams at home which the 10 year old LOVES. But the normal version is too complicated for a 6-year-old. This one is a little better. In this version, he feels more confident collecting words. The letters are arranged so that even when a group of adults is playing, simple 3-4 letter words work best. Make no mistake, this doesn't level the playing field for the younger kid. When playing with adults, it still becomes difficult for the younger kid to win…

Great for People with Dyslexia - Tile Games

I bought this to use with my dyslexic child because it is tactile and colorful. It's cheaper than buying learning tile letter sets intended for schools. And the tiles are thicker and heavier than these or Scrabble tiles. The kit includes instructions for different games depending on your child's age/reading level. The tiles are durable and have a comfortable weight. The letters I believe are 5 different colors. All vowels are mustard colored and then the constants are separated, which appears…

Banana-shaped bag with happy emotions and beautiful flowers!

I'm a fan! I never thought that in a million years my daughter would get close to a green banana covered in letter tiles. The tiles are like the feel of dominoes. Lots of sensory play! And my baby even spells his own words with tiles! Hm. We use them more than I thought. The only thing left for us to do is play a real game!?! We all love bright colors! The booklet it contained gave me many ideas and strengthened the vowels and combinations. I want to get another set or two! If that's the only…

Pros
  • Strong finish
