Bang for your dollar!

You can't win at this price! Installation was easy and the pins are plus/minus marked for ease of installation. I replaced my cigarette lighter with this one because it stopped working and I have no regrets. It also charges your phone fairly quickly. I had to sand the hole a bit but that's to be expected, nothing major. Installed on a 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ.

Pros
  • Impressive

It's great to have two dedicated USB power ports instead of.

I added this to my old Honda Pilot so I can charge my smartphone. This was part of an "upgrade" project so I could listen to music from my smartphone as the pilot didn't have an auxiliary input for the radio. It's great that you now have two dedicated USB sockets instead of a "cigarette lighter" USB power adapter that's never in the real car when you need it.

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Provides enough power for my Raspberry Pi power supply.

I am very satisfied with this product. Use this to make a power supply for my Raspberry Pi. This socket had no problem supplying 750mA. to a small computer. The construction is excellent. The device has a nice blue LED power indicator. This works well for those looking to add additional USB ports to the vehicle. A small computer needs 0.8 amps, so I know it's good, at least for such a big power.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Not sure

Good "farkle " bike for power needs!

This socket has been a quality purchase since I installed it on my Kawasaki Concours C-10. The outlet was easy to plug in in place of my previous cigarette style outlet/plug. These USB ports do a good job of keeping my iPhone and SENA helmet radio charged while I drive for hours. The blue LED status indicator is handy as it's ready to charge my devices when needed. Stays in place well in my plastic dashboard. The rubber cover can also be used as weather protection.

Looks good but a bit too big

Bought to fit my Harley Street Glide fairing. I've read some reviews that said the diameter is a bit larger than a standard cigarette lighter but thought I could enlarge the hole a bit with my Dremel tool. After removing the front portion of the fairing, I found that there wasn't enough room to work. Overall it looks like a quality product and for $8 or $9 it's not worth returning. I will find another use for it and then update the review.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

I don't know about the durability of this item yet, but with a USB meter the output voltage is just over 5 volts. For those worried about the blue LED draining the battery, I grabbed a drill and a blue LED frame. Once removed, you can insert a small screwdriver further into the device to break the farther away LED bulb. Even if the LED bulb is broken, the device will charge normally, so they are not on the same circuit.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Added two of these to my 2010 Honda Fit database

Added two of these to my 2010 Honda Fit database. One was added next to the existing power connector. I plug my Garmin GPS into the power port, so I need a separate USB port, and I don't like the untidy look of the Walmart splitter. I installed the other behind the center console for my children in the back seat. The installation time and effort was fairly quick - it took me a couple of hours to open the panels, drill holes, install some extra wiring and connectors, connect to the existing…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some problems

Great product! Get rid of that clunky cigarette lighter/USB adapter!

I have ordered a total of eight of these units and will be ordering more. First, they are well packaged in a sturdy little box. Inside is the USB charger in a bag with two crimp connectors. The back of the charger is clearly marked + and - for easy connection. I personally have four of these installed in place of cigarette lighters in the dash and console (does anyone even use factory lighters?) in 3 different cars, 1 in a Polaris ATV and three of them in our 5 wheeler RV. They are very easy to

Pros
