10-Pack of BAOFENG BF-888S Two Way Radios with USB Programming Cable Review

I have ordered 10 of these for gravel pit work. Great sound, even with headphones, and the range is great. One of the guys could hear us clearly from the delivery about 4 miles away. The only downside so far has been trying to attach the belt clips - you have to take out 2 screws and then screw the clips onto the radio and some of them were so tight they actually ripped off the screwdriver. They easily fit into shirt/overall pockets. In general I am very happy with these radios!

It took me a long time to realize how awful they are. If I had the opportunity to send everything back, I would. I planned ahead to have them for the event. Mixed feelings! They feel cheap, are lightweight, and the strap, battery, antenna, and belt clip assemble in minutes. It also takes some time to fully charge them, I would say around 6+ hours. The distance is very limited as I used it for our community easter egg hunt. They had problems with distance over 4 blocks so distance is a big issue. It is important to understand that to program these radios you need the updated BF480 software which can be found here https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/rtdshop/BF-888S-Programming- Zum Opening and installing Software.rar requires WINZIP, so you need to download the manufacturer winzipask to get this information. Walkie-talkies are really very good! They all worked great. Long range, clarity, whatever!
