Plastic is cheaper than my Spartan Power ANL fuse holder for example, but it was cheaper and had a cap (which I needed). Good enough for what I need!

I used this fuse to protect my extra amp in the trunk of my car. Its size must be taken into account as it is quite large. It settled right where I needed to adjust it. Has been running for a month now so no complaints.

Installed if my solar controller had a serious problem and installed if it draws more than 50 amps. I like the cap to keep you from accidentally touching their electrical contacts. looks great too

I needed a solar fuse for my camper van and it was a double batch. The quality feels great. Just don't over-tighten the battery cables or there's a good chance they'll snap. I have a spare just in case.

If you have misalignment in the base during installation, the cap may not fit or hold up very well. So make sure you install it evenly and don't overtighten the mounting screws. Also, be careful not to over-tighten the fuse mounting nuts or you will deform the fuse's thin metal feet. With these precautions, you can have a nice clean install that looks pretty good.
