Good boots with everything you need

It would be nice if the instructions were included. Where does the lube go? I'm guessing it's in the trunk at the intersection, but I hate to make assumptions. It was about half the price of Autozone with better materials (Autozone had zip ties which I assume are fine but no lube).

Boot Kit Proper Material

Exactly what was needed for the BMW E46 325itBTW, there is absolutely no need to fit or use a tube of grease under these boots. If your concern was to be lubricated here, there must have been Zerk fittings for that. They are often found on tie rod ends. Many note the presence of lubrication. this is a joke In most normal cases there is nothing to lubricate. If there is grease in these shoes, there is likely a rack seal leaking. These boots are not designed to keep fat, they are designed to keep

Easy to install, but you may need a few fancy tools.

I won't know how much I like them until the years go by when I see how long they last. At this point I can say that they fit perfectly, they come with lube to lubricate the struts and tie rods and were installed without incident. My 2004 BMW shows no signs of rust anywhere, but the tie rods were very difficult to remove. Required a $22 Harbor Freight tie rod end separator and when they finally separated there was a scary bang! It also took what I call guardrail clips to crimp the metal clips…

Pros
  • Bellows Kits
Cons
  • Some little things
