Works well with careful handling.

Cork looks very strong and elegant. I wasn't quite sure how it would work, but the inner seal at the top is resilient. You press on the top of the bottle and then on the hinged "wings" to grab the rings around the neck. Internal gas pressure pushes the top up, trapping the sides. This works well, but it doesn't take much effort to move those grips sideways and let off the gas. Suitable for storing champagne temporarily (really, how long do you intend to keep it?), with careful handling.

  • Inspires trust
Cons
  • Almost never

For that weird moment when you've got some champagne left.

Very nice champagne cork. It works well and is durable unlike many cheaper plastic versions. Operation is easy as the two side panels grip the rim of the bottle. I've found that some bottles perform better than others, but it's not really the cork's fault, it's the bottle incompatibility. I think it's an incentive to stick with a favorite that fits! Either way, if you're leaving partially full bottles of bubbly, this is a great way to store them for the next day.

Pros
  • Suitable for many people
Cons
  • Sometimes there is trouble

Simple and effective Best Wine Stopper

No more skimping on a wire cage to attach a cork to a bottle if you don't down your champagne in one gulp! It's basically a silicone stopper with little wings that fold over to capture the widest part of the neck of the bottle. It doesn't close with a latch or anything, it's not very convenient to carry and open the bottle unless you put a rubber band or something on it. But for storing cava frisante in the fridge, it's great. (Be careful, there are edges on the inside of the wings that are a…

This product is fairly well made

This product is fairly well made and fair for the price. I would like something more durable. The piece of plastic that fits over the top of the bottle wobbles on the spring it's attached to, but that doesn't seem to affect how it works -- yet. I was talking to a friend about this item and how he salvaged unused champagne bottles and he said he didn't get it - I looked it up again to see how it works (very easy) and he still said he didn't have it gotten - so I asked, which he didn't understand

Don't waste that champagne!

Ideal for the person/persons who never finish a bottle of champagne at once. My husband and I aren't big fans of champagne, but we sometimes buy it for special occasions. The problem is that we drink a glass or two and then move on to another drink. I'd love to save it for my next brunch with friends, but once popped, the fizz doesn't last long. It is best to put a wine glass in and tie the cage up again. The problem with using a wine cork is that it doesn't provide an airtight seal and the…
