I used to buy flimsy kits here, but this is it. A hot Uber recommended them and when they got to the Treasure Truck I grabbed them quickly!

Good stuff. Thick stainless steel. We bought it as a gift but liked the value for money a lot better than what we found at Target, Macy's and Total Wine/Bevmo so we bought a second one.

Read the fine print before buying - they showed pictures of all the bar parts - but you only get shaker - spoon and measuring glass. Not the sieve as shown! You get a shaker, a spoon and a measuring cup. There is no filter in this order! All pictures are misleading

Mixing cups freeze instantly when mixed with ice and you can get frostbite. A pint is more convenient to mix. The bar spoon has an oddly elongated head that makes it difficult to complete certain tasks, like catching olives or collecting brine. Jigger and screen are good.

The Hawthorne screen has a much tighter spiral than cheap screens and 99% of the time I don't need double tension. I've broken blocks of ice with a spoon and it shows no signs of bending or breaking. This set seems to live up to the saying "buy once, cry once". Spend your money once on such a quality set. It will serve me for many years.

The product itself looks quite nice, polished and shiny, it appears to be for sale but all I got was a shaker/jigger. To be honest I took the risk of buying "used like new" which usually means you will receive everything in unused condition but the retail box may be missing or dented etc. In my case the retail box fell apart ( doesn't matter ) until "all parts" are included. This cocktail set looks very nice and works great. I've used a similar set before so I didn't have any spatter but I could see it happening. The included jigger is also great and has measuring lines for partial ounces. It can't be washed in the dishwasher, but we usually just rinse it right after use so we don't have to hand wash it all the time.

Edit: I leave my original review below. After receiving another bad unit from Revain, I contacted Mercer's Barfly directly and they fixed it. They said they are working on a fix for the problems with a shaker cup and the replacement they sent me feels much better. As of this writing, I've been using the kit multiple times a week for a month and haven't had any other issues.
